About the Foundation

The American College of Emergency Physicians Foundation works closely with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) to promote the highest quality of emergency care and insure the public is informed about issues critical to quality emergency care.

At its core, the work of the Foundation engages the public through education and advocacy in an effort to mobilize support for patients' access to high quality emergency medical care, injury prevention, and emergency medical disaster preparedness.

Since its founding, the Foundation has launched several key initiatives including: VitalCare — a magazine for ER waiting rooms nationwide that provides health and safety information; a campaign designed to educate and engage the public on issues affecting their health care; and this Web site, which provides a wealth of emergency medicine and wellness information.

The American College of Emergency Physicians Foundation invites you to take an active role in helping the Foundation work toward greater emergency and health care by contacting your legislator through the "Take Action Now" section of this site and making a donation at the "Donate Now" section.

Providing outstanding patient care is our No. 1 priority. In working hand in hand with you through the efforts of the American College of Emergency Physicians Foundation is how we can, together, achieve that goal.
